Soulja Boy’s stamp of approval from Kanye West
The rapper-and-producer – whose first hit ‘Crank That (Soulja Boy)’ stayed at number one on the Billboard Top 100 for seven weeks – insists he was unsure about the quality of the tracks for his third studio album ‘Dre’ until he was praised by some fellow musicians.

Dizzee Rascal used to think of “pop” as a “dirty word”.

M.I.A wants to produce a track for Jay-Z
The 'Paper Planes' hitmaker - who collaborated with the hip hop star when he remixed a version of her 'XXXO' track last month - would like to return the favour, and thinks she has the "perfect song" to entice the rapper. She told MTV News: "I really want to produce for him. I have got the perfect song for Jay-Z! In fact, that's the best one that I had for my album which never made it. It was the first song I was really into and the song that actually made my album go in the direction it did, but it never actually made the album. I want to give it to Jay-Z because I think it suits him more."
