Lil Wayne – First health problems, now it’s lawsuits… Lil Wayne – First health problems, now it’s lawsuits… 8c8656dda1f9a4e3c9d77401f6700281News broke recently of the Young Money boss suffering multiple seizures as a result of what he thought was overworking himself after being released from prison. Calling the health scare a ‘life-changing event’ as well as an ‘eye opener’, the rap superstar had been suffering with dehydration and migraines for a while.

Amidst this, he’s just been ordered to pay over 2 million dollars to film maker Quincy “QDIII” Jones III after losing a documentary dispute in which a lawsuit was filed. The filmmaker had completed the shooting of a documentary on Lil Wayne aptly called Tha Carter (which is based on The Carter III), but the dispute came in when Lil Wayne alleged that he hadn’t given the producers permission for the use of his music in the film. But in the film he appears to cooperate with the documentary, allowing them to follow him around. Lil Wayne had first filed the lawsuit, but when he failed to show up at court appearances due to his health problems, the judge favoured the film company in their counter suit which they claimed would prevent the movie from being profitable.

Weezy’s lawyers also argued that the film was a ‘scandalous portrayal’ of Wayne’s character. The judge obviously sided with the film company as he said that the rapper’s absence was not impressive at all, citing: “ unreasonable conduct in the deposition”. In Weezy’s defence, he was allegedly ordered by the doc to stop flying due to health problems. But hey, the courts decide and now the YMCMB has to part with a few Milli. Sorry Weezy F, keep your head up and your health in check.
