Jean Grae enters a new era Jean Grae enters a new era jeangreenWhen another doors closes another opens is a statement that Jean Grae can relate to. After spending several years at the now dismantled label Blacksmith (which was co-founded by Talib Kweli and Corey Smyth) Grae has launched her own company, KAGD (Kids Are Gonna Die). Greasy has partnered with W.A.R Media for the release of future releases and projects, including her highly anticipated album “Cake Or Death” (set for release in the 2nd quarter of 2013). Guy Routte, Jean’s manager and a CEO of W.A.R. Media bring years of experience and industry savvy to the merger, whilst the creative, unique energy of Jean guarantees a successful collaboration of multimedia products from the synergy of these two forces.

KAGD and W.A.R. Media will continue to deliver imaginative multimedia content promising to both break boundaries and confirm their dedication to elevating artistic vision and purpose. Several projects have been already planned for release: Grae’s comedic take on Christmas tunes, with the free downloadable EP “Ho X 3” on December 25th. “Life With Jeannie” is a web-based bi-weekly sitcom; written, directed, edited and starring Grae. The future is looking extra bright for the South African native and we’re wishing her only the best for one of the countries dopest exports.
