Lupe Fiasco Gets the Boot from Obama: Yes, he can! Lupe Fiasco Gets the Boot from Obama: Yes, he can! Lupe Fiasco“Gaza Strip was getting’ bombed, Obama didn’t say shit/ That’s why I ain’t vote for him, they next on either/ I’m a part of the problem, my problem is I’m peaceful/ And I believe in the people” – Lupe Fiasco – Words I Never Said

Everyone at the Obama administration must all presumably be bumping nothing but Jay Z 24/7 to pay him back for the hand he had in swaying votes ‘cos they clearly missed out on Lupe Fiasco’s heavily opinionated ‘Words I Never Said’ single from his LASERS album, as well as about every other bit of political commentary he’s made over the past few years. If, like them, you are oblivious to Lupe’s political stance, it can be summed up in one sentiment: Lupe hates America.

Yup. It’s as simple as that. The activist rapper, who once protested against his own record label, actively participated in the Occupy Wall Street riots and also climbed Mount Kilimanjaro (yes, he freakin’ climbed the most notorious mountain!) to raise money for poverty alleviation in Africa, has never been one to succumb to the conventions of establishment. Most recently, his activism got him thrown off stage at an Obama pre-inauguration event that he was headlined to perform at.

“Lupe Fiasco just got thrown off stage here at the Hamilton Live after he went on an anti-Obama diatribe mid set,” wrote Josh Rogin of Foreign Policy.

He added, “So Lupe played one anti-war song for 30 min and said he didn’t vote for Obama and eventually was told to move on to the next song.”

“Lupe refused to move to the next song so a team of security guards came on stage and told him to go,” concluded Rogin.

Our advice? The presidency need to tone down on that Blueprint 3 and 2 Chainz that’s blaring in the office and diversify their musical taste so that they avoid booking artists who hate their guts and everything they stand for. Just an idea… Use it, don’t use it.
