MTV Base VJ Nomuzi Mabena will be joined by singing sensation Jimmy Nevis at the auditions which take place at Tyger Valley Shopping Centre.  Initial callbacks will be held at The African Pride 15 on Orange Hotel on Sunday 21 July in front of judges Sizwe Dhlomo, Joey Rasdien, Bonang Matheba & DJ Loyd.  The three Cape Town qualifiers will be announced on Monday 22 July.

Registration for the MTV Base VJ Search auditions starts from 9am on Saturday 20 July. Applicants are encouraged to be on-site early as auditions will take place on a first-come, first-served basis.  Applicants must be South African residents between the ages of 18-25 with fluent English and no criminal record.  Prior presenting or TV experience is not required.  Applicants must bring valid ID with them and be available to participate in the elimination phases of the competition between 30 July and 7 August.  For full terms and conditions, to download the audition script and to view online submissions, please go to www.mtvbase.com and follow the link to the MTV Base VJ Search microsite.  To upload a video entry, please upload a 30 second video clip (.m4v, .mp4 format) to www.mtvbase.com, or send your clip as an attachment or email a link to your video on YouTube to basedigital@vimn.com.

Highlights and funny moments from the MTV Base VJ Search auditions will feature on the weekly TV series 2013 MTV Base VJ Search Brought to you by Citroën DS3 Cabrio which premieres on MTV Base (DStv Channel 322) on Friday 16 August @ 17:00 CAT.
