Probably one of the most underrated Hip Hop artists today, multi-talented producer and songwriter Ryan Leslie previously revealed that he would be shifting his focus from R&B to rap last year and later put out his debut as a Hip Hop artist with “Les Is More”, and started with teases of his new “Black Mozart” movement.
Months later, Ryan Leslie (who grew his popularity through his handful of YouTube videos that highlighted and showcased his diverse production skills) is back with a documentary titled “Black Mozart”, that finds him spending time in Europe with his production team and recording his album of the same name.
This supporting piece of Ryan Leslie’s forthcoming album gives viewers a behind the scene look at his creative process, as “Black Mozart” was inspired by everything Leslie felt after losing a million dollar lawsuit over the reward he promised for his stolen laptop in December.According to Leslie, Black Mozart started the moment he walked out of the courthouse, he wrote the entire album in the two days following the verdict and in turn, travelled to Vienna, Austria to record the entire new body of work.
New album, New Leslie, Don’t Sleep.
