On Tuesday this week, Meek Mill had a sudden go at his labelmate Wale on Twitter (what else of course?). Mill called out the Nigerian born rapper for not showing support for his upcoming album Dreams Worth More Than Money. “Wale just ain’t gone tweet a thing about my album,” Meek said on Twitter. “He’s been hating on me long time now …don’t even text me cornball! #UNOTMMG”.

Needless to say the hashtag quickly caused a twitter-quake with memes popping up left, right and everywhere else on twitterville. Wale did respond to Meek Mill, taking to Instagram to emphasise that he”s different and didn’t address the situation directly.

After the calm seized the storm, the drama got left behind and Mill found himself back home in Philadelphia, visiting the site of a fatal fire in Southwest Philly that claimed the lives of four children on Saturday. “I just wanted to come by and show my support to all of the families and everybody that was hurt by this situation,” he told news station NBC.  “I feel I’m in a position where I can help these people. Anything I can do to help them with their losses, I’m gonna do it,” he continued. The MMG rapper said he’d be donating money to the families who suffered because of the fire.

Onto a lighter note, Meek has just annouced the release date of his album Dreams Worth More Than Plenty which is on 9 September. The album features the first single “I Don’t Know (feat. Paloma Ford),” as well as collaborations with Big Sean, A$AP Ferg, Rick Ross & more.

“This album is inspired by my real life. Despite all the fame and money, my dreams keep me motivated to be the best rapper in the game,” says the Philadelphia-based MC. Meek continues, “growing up in Philly, you only see this life on TV and in the movies. And now I’m living it? This album is for all the young kids who have dreams; to show them that if I can make it, anybody can make it.”
