Tell us who Ice Prince is in one sentence.
Ice Prince is a guy who uses music as a tool to express his thoughts and views.
Your music has been making major waves internationally, how do you manage to stay relevant to your fans?
I stay relevant by getting better with the music, and steady supplying the fans the typa sound and visual they need when they need it.
What inspires you to produce your music?
The ultimate inspiration is God but everything that revolves around me in my life could be an inspiration.
You have collaborated with L-Tido, any other South African artists you would like to work with?
It would be a dream come true for me to work with Yvonne Chaka Chaka; but in general, I’m a big fan of the music coming from South Africa. I have also been in the studio and made music with HHP, Da L.E.S, Khuli Chana and AKA just to name a few.
Music is an expression of self, an art of expressing one’s thoughts using words, melodies, instruments or all of those put together.
What means the most to you in life?
My family and my music.
If you were not in the music industry, what would you be doing with your life?
I’d probably be managing and developing estates. I love the business and the money.
Your top Naija musician at the moment?
There are a lot of great Naija acts I can mention but for so many reasons I’d have to say 2Face as a point of contact. He paved the way for a lot of us from the very start of his career.
What is the main message in your music?
Nothing is impossible. All you gotta do is dream about something.
To the fans, I’d like to say thank you for being there and making me who I am. I pray God blesses you in everything you do. To aspiring musicians, it’s not all smooth and not all rough; you have to be ready for both and never let people or trends influence you. Do you and people will love you for that and never forget to call on God all the time.
