Look, usually we save all the fluffy stuff for the publications who don’t have any real work so they spend their time at the office trying to crack celebrity email passwords to get the 411 on who’s bonking who, and matters of that nature. But we must admit that we’re a little interested in the latest development involving the Maftwon prince, Cassper Nyovest.
Whether it’s beef and conflict, fire flame music releases or hair, Nyovest pretty much lives the entertainment news headlines. Today, he has graced his latest one for reportedly being engaged to his childhood sweetheart and former Hype Honey Boitumelo Thulo, otherwise just known as Boity.
Cassper posted a picture on his Instgram account showing the two love-birds on the front cover of DRUM magazine with a slug that reads: “Cassper pops the question and Boity says says.” Cassper’s Instagram slug reads: “Nana we made the cover @boity. I just want the world to know how much I’m madly in love with you. I can’t hold back!!! You’re perfection.”
Throughout the day Nyovest has been splurging behind the scenes video clips from the magazine’s shoot on his Instagram account. In one of them where he is seen getting cosy with his bride to be, he admits: “the funny thing is, I cried and she didn’t.”
This shouldn’t come as too much of a shock since the couple’s history is well documented from the time they first dated when either of them were famous. The two are both young (25 years old), highly successful at the moment, monied up, and have a shared history. But it certainly does come as a bit of a suprise seeing as how sudden it came, and Nyovest is not one to shy away from attention for the purpose of his music’s success. Not to mention that Boity was recently announced as the new ambassador for Legit clothing brand and the hashtag #itsLegit is being used to push the magazine cover and the announcement of the couple as whole on social media.
That begs the question: Is Cassper’s move legit, as his social media pages suggest, or does this scream “publicity stunt?”
