Yesterday we attended Cassper Nyovest’s official #FillUpTheDome press conference, where Nyovest answered questions about everything from beef, to his relationship with Boity and what really “happened at the hotel” (Dust 2 Dust). He was also full of announcements.
Among those announcements were his new partnership with local mobile technology brand AG Mobile. The company, which supplies phones and tablets to mobile networks and retailers such as Ackermans, PEP and Edgars, has entered into a six month partnership with Nyovest kicking off with the sponsorship of his “Fill Up the Dome” concert on 31 October.
“Both brands resonate with a broad range of Africans – we have presence in eight countries, while Cassper is well-known and tours across the continent. What’s more, we’re both striving to positively impact on as many lives as possible – for AG it’s through reliable, affordable means of communications, while for Cassper it’s through his music,” says AG Mobile CEO Anthony Goodman. “In addition to our role in making the “Fill Up the Dome” concert a reality, we plan to design a Cassper Nyovest-inspired phone that will feature exclusive content.” Yup, Cassper will be releasing his own line of cellphones! How’s that for ‘Hotline Bling?’
A short time later, Cassper took to his Twitter account to post a spontaneous link that revealed itself to be the new KFC campaign ad, in which he stars. Majour League’s ‘Slyza Totsi’ also lends itself as the background music and the concept of the ad.
