In case you don’t know, as a global rapper, hitting up Tim Westwood for a cypher at some point in your career is rite of passage. All the way as far back as Will Smith (when he was The Fresh Prince) in 1989, to Nas, Eminem, everyone knows what’s good. Earlier this year AKA became the first South African rapper to reach this milestone, and now Cassoer joins the elite group.
Cassper did his thing with an unrecorded verse, then switched to some parts from his joint with DJ Switch ‘Raphanda Wena Wetsang’ and then switched back to some stuff we’ve not heard before. And yes, there were A LOT of shots clearly taken at his adversary AKA.
Among them: “Say you started from bottom, was rolling around in a Toyota bakkie? / Some of us started with nothing so we consider you lucky.”
