Stephanie Schildknecht is an ambitious actress, model and a lover of hip hop, born in Botswana and of German and Swazi decent. She has begun making her mark on the SA entertainment scene with a recent cameo on Generations and she also guest starred as The Bandit Queen in the Young Leonardo series currently showing in Britain. She’s international and oh so sexy…

You’re a model and an upcoming actress. Which one of the two roles do you enjoy the most?
Definitely being an actress. It is what I trained as and it’s my main ambition. I find it more fulfilling and rewarding as a career choice.

Hip Hop is?
Still alive and kickin’.

What’s your take on the state of hip hop in SA?

The scene as a whole is still way too influenced by America. A lot of music sounds like a carbon copy of what’s out there already. More people (and there are some artists doing it already) need to embrace who we are and what we can offer as Africans and put our own unique stamp on hip hop.

Which hip hop album is doing major rotation on your playlist?

Kanye West and Jay-Z, Watch the Throne

Your top three hip hop albums of all time?

Wu-Tang-Clan 36 Chambers
LL Cool J Mr Smith
Cypress Hill Black Sunday

Describe yourself in three words?
Doesn’t get better.

Worst pick-up line used on you?

I may not be Fred Flintstone, but I sure could make your bed rock (he didn’t get lucky that night).
