Weza is a true African beauty making all the right moves to put her in the spotlight. We asked her about her Channel O and Big Brother hustles. Check it out:

How did you land the gig on Channel O and what’s the best part about your job?

I was spotted at a party and asked if I would be interested in auditioning for the spot of a host in a new Portuguese/English speaking show on Channel 0 titled Top Mais. I went to the auditions, (didn’t really think I got the job ‘cause there were SO MANY girls there). Anyways I got a callback a few weeks later, went through another interview process with a few girls, then got a third callback, this time with two other girls until it was finally down to one… me! [smiles]. The best part about my job is the traveling, to be more specific I get to travel HOME and interview my people, help showcase their talent to the rest of Africa, it’s extremely gratifying.

What was the big brother experience like?

Big Brother was a crazy experience for me, it was a mental and emotional roller-coaster. I guess I didn’t really know what I was getting myself into until it was too late, but like everything else in life, I just dove into it and hoped for the best! Seriously though, I learned a lot from the Big Brother experience; I learned to deal with different cultures, ideas, personalities. I learned to be strong when necessary, to be myself even when I knew it wasn’t the most popular option, to stand by what I believe knowing very well that I would be judged by a continent!

I don’t regret it though, I met wonderful people, made friends that I’m sure will be in my life for a very long time and had life lessons. My thoughts are, experiences like this MAKE or BREAK you! I needed to find out on which side I would end up.
